Headcrab Hunter 3 is a complete mod for Counter-Strike: Source. While it is similar to most zombie-based mods out there, it’s also different in many ways. Headcrab Hunter 3 is written in Eventscripts 2.0 and requires eventscripts on the server to play. With this mod, you’re dealing with something never seen before; headcrabs. They’ve invaded, and depending on the map you’re playing on, you must either survive their attack or destroy them all before time runs out.
Unlike older and unsupported Headcrab Hunter releases, (Headcrab Hunter and Headcrab Hunter 2), Headcrab Hunter 3 is focused on the Player vs. Bot gameplay to make itself different from zombiemods.
In Headcrab Hunter 3, humans will be CTs, and the bots Ts. The teams are static, and cannot be altered in any way. Configurable, both humans and headcrabs respawn at certain intervals. Headcrabs generally respawn faster, move faster, and have higher hitpoints. Teamwork is a plus in Headcrab Hunter.
This mod will work with maps that have .nav files. Headcrab Hunter 3 is tested on Default Maps. Generally, bots work better on maps with custom navigation (.nav) files. ZM and ZH maps should all work under this mod. Headcrab Hunter 3 is very customizable server-side, and is suitable for small to medium audiences.
Headcrab Hunter 3 is developed by Archivolt. It is also supported by Echo, the original Headcrab Hunter creator.
